Gary and Val's home.....night
"Gary," she says. "Did you speak to Kate?"
"Yeah, and a helluva lotta good it did. Is Bobby here?"
"No, I haven't even heard from him," Val says.
"I have a bad feeling he might be with Molly."
"Well, Gary, what did Kate say?"
"She was stubborn about it. She refuses to tell Molly the truth," Gary says. "I told her that if she didn't tell Molly the truth, then I would."
Val sighs. "Boy, this is really a mess."
Gary turns and starts to leave again.
"Gary, where're you going?" Val asks.
He opens the front door, pauses for a moment and looks back at his wife. "I'm going out to find Bobby and Molly. Before this mess gets even more outta hand." Without saying another word, Gary walks out. Val takes a seat on the sofa and shakes her head in exasperation after he's gone.
Meanwhile....
Knots Landing Beach......night
Bobby and Molly continue to kiss. After a few moments, Molly pulls out of the kiss and turns away from him. "Molly, what's wrong?" Bobby asks. "Bobby, if we don't stop now, I think we both know where this is gonna lead." "Would that be so terrible?" Molly turns back to face him. "Yes, considering the fact that my cousin is very much in love with you, and that I'm still hurting over Brandon, yes, it would be wrong for us to sleep together. And I think you know that I'm right." |
"We've been friends for too long to make a mistake like that out of neediness. Don't get me wrong. If it weren't for Meg, trust me, I'd be really tempted. But I just can't. Not while things are still unresolved between you and her. And if anything ever does happen between us, I want it to be right. For both of us."
Bobby looks at her and nods. "You're right. You wanna go grab a bite to eat?"
"No," Molly says. "I'm so tired. Both physically and emotionally. I just wanna go home and lay down and relax."
"Okay. I'll drive you back to your car," Bobby says. He and Molly get into his car, and Bobby's cell phone rings. He picks the phone up from the cup holder of the car located between the drivers and passenger's seats and looks at it. "My Dad calling," he says. "Oh, well. I'll just talk to him when I get home." He starts the car and he and Molly drive away.
Meanwhile....
The Cunningham Home....later
"Oh, hi, honey, I though you were your sister," Kate says.
"No. Molly isn't home?" Trevor asks.
"No, she isn't. I don't suppose you've talked to her today."
"No, I haven't. I hope she gets here soon, because there's something I have to talk to her about."
"I'm afraid that's gonna have to wait, because I have to talk to your sister, too, about something very important."
At that moment, a car's headlights can be seen shining through the foyer windows as a car has pulled into the driveway.
"That must be her, now," says Kate.
Kate and Trevor wait for a few moments in silence, then Molly walks into the house to find her mother and brother waiting. "What's going on?"
"Molly, where have you been?" Kate asks.
"I've been at the beach. Why?"
"Were you with Brandon?"
"No. I was with Bobby."
Kate's heart sinks. "You......you were with Bobby at the beach?"
"Yeah, I was. Why?"
"Molly, I need to talk to you," Trevor says. "It's real important."
"Not now, Trevor," Kate says angrily.
"Trevor, please, just go upstairs. NOW!"
Trevor gives his mother an angry look for a moment, then turns and runs up the stairs as he's told. At the top of the stairs, he stops and listens to what his mother has to say to his sister.
"Yes, Mom, I was. You act like that's a problem."
"It is. I don't want you seeing Bobby Ewing again."
"What?" Asks a stunned Molly. "Where is this coming from?"
"You know that Bobby and Meg are together," Kate says.
"Bobby and Meg had a fight. A very serious one."
"That doesn't matter. Until they've officially broken up, Bobby is still Meg's boyfriend. Besides, you're seeing that nice Brandon now."
"Nice? Mom, nice isn't a word I would use to describe Brandon Williams."
"Why, Molly? What happened?" Kate asks.
"First, I wanna talk to you. Molly, please, I don't want you to see Bobby again."
"I have no idea where this is coming from or why everyone is freaking out so much about Bobby and I spending time together. First his Dad acted all weird the other morning, and now you? Bobby and I have been friends since I was a kid. Is this just because of Bobby and Meg? If it is, then relax. They had a fight, and Bobby isn't sure they'll even stay together."
"Does that really matter?" Kate asks. "Bobby and Meg have been in love for years. Besides, Bobby's a little old for you, don't you think?"
"I don't believe I'm hearing this," says an irritated Molly. "I'm an adult, Mom. An ADULT. Which means that I don't need your permission to see whoever I choose to see. I'm going to bed. Goodnight!" Molly walks past her mother and up the stairs as Kate sighs in frustration.
Meanwhile, having overheard the argument between his mother and sister, and hearing Molly coming up the stairs, Trevor quickly dashes down the hall and into his bedroom. He watches through his open door as Molly walks into her bedroom and closes the door. Trevor smiles, hoping that Molly had finally seen the light about Brandon Williams.
The Ewing Home.....later
"We were waiting for you, son," Gary says, standing from his seat on the sofa. "Where've you been? I called you five or six times."
"Yeah, I know. I just didn't feel like talking."
"You had no idea that what I wanted wasn't important, so why the hell didn't you answer?"
"Look, it's really late, I've had a REALLY crappy day, and I'm in no mood to argue, so I'm goin' to bed."
"Bobby, we really need to talk first," says Gary.
"Why, do you can lecture me on how I need to grow up and take responsibility like an adult? Thanks, Dad, but no thanks," Bobby says as he starts up the stairs.
"BOBBY!" Gary yells after him. Gary walks over to the stairs. "Were you with Molly tonight?"
Bobby stops on the stairs and looks at his father. "What?"
"I asked if you were with Molly Cunningham tonight."
"I don't see what business that is of yours."
"Just answer the damned question," Gary says with gritted teeth.
"No. I don't have to answer to you," says an angry Bobby. "I am a grown man capable of making my own decisions. Maybe it's time I moved outta here."
"Bobby, no," Val says, walking over to her husband and son. "Don't say anything you'll regret."
"Bobby!" Val calls after her son as she starts to up the stairs.
Gary grabs his wife by the arm. "Val, let him go."
"Gary, we can't just let him leave like that."
"Give him time to cool off," Gary says.
Brandon's apartment....
"What took you so long?" Brandon asks, impatiently.
"Sorry," Amber says, walking past him and into the apartment. "I had to get these developed." She hands Brandon the envelope.
Brandon takes the envelope, opens it, and takes out a series of 8x10 photos. He looks them over, then smiles.
"Well?" Amber asks. "Is that gonna help you?"
"Oh yes," Brandon says with a smile. "It's amazing. Originally, I had planned something completely different for my friend, but, he actually unwittingly inspired me to come up with a whole new plan for him."
"Okay, so I found your friend, and followed him, and took the pics. Now, what do I get in return?" Amber asks seductively.
Brandon tosses the photos onto the coffee table and moves closer to Amber, putting his arms around her. He kisses her. "What do you WANT in return for helping me out with my plan for my friend?"
Amber smiles, then kisses him. "Can't you guess?"
"Oh yes. Amber, my dear, you have just earned yourself a night of pure heaven." Smiling, Brandon begins kissing Amber again as the two move to the sofa and begin to make love. A couple of feet away, on the coffee table, lay the photos Amber had brought to Brandon......photos of Bobby and Molly on the beach earlier that evening.
The Ewing Home....the next morning
"Val?" Karen calls.
"In here, Karen," Val says.
Karen walks into the kitchen. "Hi."
"Hi. You want some coffee?"
"Yeah. Thanks," Karen says, taking a seat at the table. "I just got back from the airport. Diana and the kids are on their way back to New York."
"I'm sorry. I know how much you enjoyed having them here."
"I sure did. I hated to see them leave. But, on a more positive note, I think Mack is finally ready to go back to work. He actually went into the office this morning for the first time since my surgery to look things over."
"Mack been getting under foot?" Val asks.
"THAT is an understatement," replies Karen. "He's been driving me insane hanging around the house and hovering over me the last two weeks. I'm ready for some alone time."
"I don't see how you're gonna have that with a teenage grandson in the house all day."
"Well, Eric's hardly at home anymore. He spends a lot of his days down at the beach on that surfboard of his." Karen looks at her friend and pauses for a moment. "Val, is everything okay?"
Before Val is able to answer, Betsy walks into the house, then into the kitchen. "Hi, Mom. Karen."
"Hey, sweety," says Val. "Coffee?"
"No thanks. Karen, how are you feeling?"
"I'm fine. Still sore, but, almost back to normal. I see my doctor in a week to discuss the possibility of reconstructive surgery."
"That's great."
"Val, you never answered my question," Karen says. "Is everything okay?"
Val looks at Karen, then at Betsy, then back at Karen. "Not really."
"What's wrong, Mom?" Betsy asks.
"Your father and Bobby had a big fight last night, and Bobby threatened to move out."
"What happened?" Betsy asks. "What was the fight over?"
"Just a difference of opinion," Val replies, unable to tell her daughter the fight started over Bobby being out with Molly.
Betsy sighs. "I just wish Dad and Bobby could put aside their differences for a change."
"Val, are you sure that's all? Just a difference of opinion?" Karen asks.
"Uh-huh. Yeah," Val replies with a fake smile. Karen looks at her friend, sure there is more to the story than Val is telling.
MacKenzie & Associates....
"Dad, good morning. I didn't know you were coming in today."
"Yeah, I had a few things I needed to check on in my office. I think your mother was ready to get me outta the house, so after we dropped Diana and the kids off at the airport, I came on in here."
"Well, I'm glad you're back," says Meg.
"Everything okay with you, sweetheart? You were kinda quiet during dinner last night."
"I'm fine. Just......."
"Bobby?" Mack asks.
Meg sighs. "Yeah. We still haven't talked since our big blow up the other day."
"That's because you and Bobby are both stubborn knuckleheads. But one of ya has to give and make the first move, ya know. Otherwise the two of you will never talk and work out whatever problem it is you have."
Meg looks at her father. "I know. You're right. I think I'll give him a call during lunch."
Mack smiles. "That's my girl. Listen, I'm gonna let you get back to work and head on into my office. You need anything, you just yell."
"Don't worry, I will."
"Great," Mack says with a smile. As he starts to leave, he almost runs into Julie, the secretary, on her way into Meg's office.
"Oh, sorry, Mack," she says.
"It's okay," Mack says, walking out.
"Meg, this package arrived for you by special messenger," Julie says,
"It looked like it might be important, so I figured you'd want it right away," Julie says.
"Yeah, this must be those depositions for the Morgan case I've been expecting."
"Well, I'll be at my desk. Buzz if you need me," Julie says.
"Will do," Meg says as Julie walks out. Meg quickly rips open the manila envelope with her name on it and reaches inside. Instead of the depositions she was expecting, the envelope contains a series of photos. Meg takes the photos out and looks at them. They are photos of Bobby and her cousin Molly, walking together on the beach, holding hands, and
The Mall.....later
"Hello, Molly," he says.
"Brandon," she says coldly. "What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you. You haven't returned any of my calls. I was just wondering what's up."
Molly turns to her co-worker, Chloe, who is putting some Polo shirts on hangers. "Chloe, could you handle things while I take a short break?"
"Sure," Chloe says.
"Thanks." Molly leaves the counter and walks to the nearest exit to the outside of the store. Brandon follows. Once outside the mall, she turns to him.
"Molly, what's going on with you? With us?" Brandon asks.
"Brandon, there is no US."
"But, why, Molly? Everything was going so great. We're good together."
"If we were so good together, then why did I see that cute little blonde leaving your apartment with you yesterday morning?"
"Yeah. I was hoping to see you before you went to work. But I saw you leaving with her. And with a big smile on your face."
"Look, Moll, I can explain about that. She's a business associate. We were working late, and she slept on my couch."
"But you told ME you were working alone the night before," says Molly.
"Molly......I can explain....."
"I'm sure you can. But I don't wanna hear it. Meg and Bobby were right about you. Even my little brother tried to warn me. You're nothing but a liar, and a player. You were just using me as an excuse to stay in Knots Landing and stay close to Meg. And I was stupid enough to fall for it."
"If you're finished, can I say something now?" Brandon asks.
"No. I'd really rather not hear anymore of your lies."
Brandon smiles as he moves closer to her. "This one won't be a lie. This time, I'm gonna tell you the COMPLETE truth, Molly. Yes, you did see me leaving with Amber yesterday morning. And yes, Amber and I did have sex the night before. And here's another truth for you. Amber was absolutely fantastic in bed, where as you, Molly.......are one of the most boring lovers I've ever had. I mean, face it, Molly. You're beautiful, but, if you don't learn how to please a guy in the sack........you're gonna face a lifetime of your men seeking better sex elsewhere, just as I did."
"You son of a bitch," says an angry Molly.
Brandon laughs. "Well, I've been called worse by better women."
"I hope to God I never see you again," Molly says, fighting back tears. She turns and starts back into the store.
"Molly," Brandon says.
She stops and looks at him.
"Give me a call sometime," Brandon says. "Let me know if Bobby Ewing is happy with your........ rather limited bedroom skills."
Molly gives Brandon an angry look, then walks back into the store. Brandon laughs. Once back in the store, Molly starts to cry at Brandon's cruelty.
Outside, Brandon walks back to his car and gets in. He smiles. "Oh, Molly," he says quietly to himself. "Little do you know that the new guy you're turning to is your own brother. I can't wait until you and Bobby find out the truth about that. In the meantime, maybe I can benefit from this little secret your mama is so hell bent on keeping." Brandon puts on a pair of sunglasses, then quickly drives away.
Cunningham Enterprises.....
"Mom," he says, surprised to see her.
"Hello, honey. How was your trip?"
"It was fine."
"I didn't expect you back until tomorrow," Abby says, standing.
"I finished up my business early. My secretary told me you'd been keeping an eye on things here while I was away. Thanks."
Abby smiles. "You're welcome."
Before Brian can say anything else, his secretary buzzes his office. "Yes?" He says, pressing the button.
"Mr. Cunningham, there's a man on line one who insists on speaking to you."
"Didn't he give his name?"
"No, sir, he wouldn't give his name, but he says it's urgent he speak with you."
"Okay, thanks," Brian says. He picks up his phone and presses the '1' button. "Hello, may I help you?"
"Brian Cunningham?" Asks the voice of a young man on the other end of the line.
"Yes, this is Brian Cunningham. Who's this?"
"Scott Cunningham?" Brian asks. "I'm sorry, I don't know any Scott Cunningham."
"I know. We've never met. But, I'm your half-brother."
"My half-brother?" Brian asks, peaking Abby's curiosity as she listens to her son's end of the conversation.
"Yeah," Scott replies. "Your father, Jeff Cunningham, is also my father."
"I haven't seen or spoken to my father in twenty-five years, since I was 16-years-old."
"I know. Brian, the reason I'm calling is, Dad's very sick. He's dying, and he's been talking about you and Olivia a lot lately. Wanting to see you both again before it's too late."
"If he'd wanted to see us again, he's had over twenty-five years to do it," Brian says.
"Look, this is really important to him," Scott says. "Please, just let me give you my number. It's 661-545-2200. We're actually in L.A."
"Jeff is......he's in L.A.?" Brian asks.
"Yeah. We've been here about a month, before Dad became so terribly sick. He came here for treatment with a cancer specialist. He said he'd heard that you and your mother moved back to the L.A. area years ago, but, we weren't sure you were still here. Then I found your company, Cunningham Enterprises, online, and did some research. That's how I found you."
"Look, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but, like I said, I haven't seen Jeff Cunningham or even spoken to him since I was sixteen. And even before that he wasn't a part of my life since I was a little kid. I'm sorry to hear he's sick, but, I have no interest in seeing him again after all these years. Goodbye." Brian quickly hangs up the phone.
"Yeah," Brian says with a sigh. "He has cancer. That was his son, Scott."
"I'm very sorry to hear that. I figured Jeff had probably remarried, but I had no idea he had other children."
"That makes two of us, Mom. I just spoke to a half-brother I never even knew existed, who told me that my father, who I haven't had any contact with at all since 1990, is dying."
"Did I understand you to say that your father is here, in L.A.?" Abby asks.
"Yes."
"Brian, maybe you should think about going to see him."
The Cunningham Home....late afternoon
"I'm just fine, Jan, and how are you?" Brandon says, walking into the house carrying a large folder.
"Wonderful. I'm afraid Miss Molly isn't here. She's at work at her job at the department store."
"Actually, Jan, I'm here to see MRS. Cunningham. It's about a surprise I have for Molly. Is she at home?"
"Yes, she is. I think she's out by the pool."
"Thank you," Brandon says, following Jan through the house.
Jan walks over to her.
"Mrs. Cunningham, I hate to disturb you. But Mr. Williams is here. Says he wants to talk to you about Miss Molly."
"Oh? Thank you Jan."
The maid smiles, then walks past Brandon and back into the house. Brandon walks over to Kate.
"Brandon, what are you doing here?" Kate asks.
"I came to have a little chat about Molly."
"Look, I don't know what happened between you and my daughter, but Molly came home very upset last night, and I know it was because of you. What happened? What did you do to her?"
"Maybe she did something to me," Brandon says.
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Asks an irritated Kate.
Brandon opens the folder he holds in his hand, takes out the photos of Molly and Bobby, and tosses them onto the patio table beside Kate. She takes the photos and looks at them, her heart sinking.
Kate looks up at Brandon in shock, then stands to face him. "What did you just say?"
"You heard me. I know that Bobby's father, Gary Ewing, is also Molly's biological father."
"No. No, you're wrong about that....."
"Mrs. Cunningham, no need to lie to me," says Brandon. "I already know the truth that Molly and Bobby are half-brother and -sister."
"How the hell did you find that out?" Kate asks, near tears.
"Doesn't matter. The point is, I know. And I also know that you don't want Molly to know the truth that Gary's her father and not your husband."
"What do you want?"
Before Brandon can answer the question, Trevor walks onto the patio, and the boy is angry to find Brandon there.
"What are you doing here?" Trevor asks. "Mom, what's this creep doing here?"
"Why don't you go back into the house, little boy," Brandon says. "Your mother and I have some pressing business to discuss."
"You jerk! Get outta here!"
"Trevor, please," says Kate. "Go in the house."
"But Mom....."
"Trevor, please. I'll take care of this. Just go inside and close the door."
"So what is it you want?" Kate asks.
"What exactly is it worth to you, to keep this little secret of yours?" Brandon asks.
"Stop playing games with me. Just tell me what it is that you want in exchange for keeping your mouth shut."
Brandon smiles. "Money. That'd be a nice start."
"Alright. How much?"
Brandon looks around. "Well now, judging from this big, fine house, and that big company your husband owns.......you folks must be pretty well off. I think the Ewings are pretty well off financially, too, huh?"
"How MUCH?" Kate asks, losing patience with the young man.
"One hundred thousand."
"Done. But, I'll make it a hundred thousand, plus an extra ten thousand to leave town."
Brandon laughs slightly. "Not bad. A hundred and ten thousand bucks just for keeping your nasty little secret and relocating. But I kinda feel like it might be worth a little more to keep dear Molly from finding out the truth."
"How much, then?" Kate asks.
"Hmmm.......I wonder how Molly would react if she found out that the man she's always thought was her father, isn't her father at all. Even worse, I wonder how she'd feel if she knew that Bobby Ewing, the guy she was messin' around with now.......is really her brother."
"Get out of here!" Kate says angrily. "Get the hell out of my house and off my property."
"You're hardly in a position to order me to do anything......Kate. I've always thought you were very attractive......for a woman in her forties."
"Get out!"
"Okay, okay. I'm going," Brandon says. "I want that hundred grand tomorrow, Kate. I'll call you and tell you what time and where we should meet. You take care now and have a great evening. I'll just let myself out." Brandon winks at Kate and smiles, then turns and walks through the gate that connects to the front yard.
After he's gone, Kate starts to cry as she slowly takes a seat at the patio table. Meanwhile, standing at the door inside the house, a stunnedTrevor is also in tears, having overheard his mother's deepest, darkest secret!
The Ewing Home.....evening
"Hello, Meg," he says.
"Bobby."
"I'm glad you're here. I was gonna come over and talk to you later."
"Really?" Meg asks. "So where were you? With Molly?"
"What?"
Meg reaches into her pocket and pulls out the folded photos she had received earlier in the mail and shows them to Bobby. "This IS you and my cousin, isn't it? Walking hand in hand on the beach, looking very friendly."
Bobby takes the pictures and looks at them. "Where did you get these?"
"Someone sent them to me today," Meg says. "They arrived at my office. Imagine how I felt when I opened the envelope and saw those."
"Probably the way I felt when I walked into that restaurant and saw you with Brandon Williams."
"Bobby, what is going on between you and Molly?"
"Nothing. She was upset, so she needed a friend."
"A friend?" Meg asks angrily. "This looks like much more than friendship to me!" She says, showing him a photo of he and Molly kissing.
"You said someone sent these to you?" Bobby asks.
"That's right."
"And you have no idea who?"
"None."
"Yeah? Well, I can sure as hell guess who it was. Your ex-boyfriend, Brandon Williams. Who else would've done this?"
"Well, whoever did it, I owe them a debt of thanks," says Meg. "At least now I know what's going on behind my back between you and my own cousin."
"NOTHING is going on between me and Molly, but if you wanna believe otherwise, then go right ahead!"
"Now you know how I felt when you accused me of seeing Brandon!" Meg says angrily. She turns and starts back to the MacKenzie home next door, then turns back to him. "You know, I thought when I came home and we started seeing each other again, that things would be different. But you're no different than you were five years ago when I left!" Meg turns and storms back to her house, leaving an angry Bobby standing in front of his parents' home, fuming with rage as he holds the photos in his hand and looks at them.
"Brandon," he says quietly. "That piece of garbage. You won't get away with this." Bobby walks over to his car, gets in, and quickly speeds away.
The Cunningham Home.....
"Brian, I will, but first, I'm waiting for someone else to get here so I can tell you all at the same time."
"Who?"
"Just be patient for the first time in your life, would you?" Kate asks.
Brian sighs. "Fine, I'll be patient. Where's Trevor?"
"He went over to the Averys' to see Dylan," Kate replies as the doorbell ring. "That must be them," she says. Kate walks into the foyer and opens the front door. Gary and Val walk in.
"Kate, what is it? What's so urgent?" Gary asks.
"Come in," Kate says, leading the Ewings into the living room, where Brian stands by the fireplace.
"Gary. Val," Brian says. "What are you two doing here?"
"That's what we'd like to know," Gary replies.
"Val, I'm glad you could come with Gary," Kate says.
"Of course. But, honey, what is it?"
Kate looks at the three. "Molly is hanging out with her friend Chloe from work, Trevor is at the Averys, and I sent Jan home early so the four of us could talk privately. We have a very serious problem."
"It's about Molly. This guy she had been seeing, Brandon Williams........he knows the truth."
"The truth?" Brian asks.
Kate nods. "Yeah. He knows that Gary is Molly's father."
"How the hell did that happen?" Gary asks.
"I don't know, unless he somehow overheard us when you were here the other night."
"Wait a second," says Brian. "You were HERE the other night? Discussing Molly with Kate?"
"Yes, I was. I thought it was time Molly knew the truth because she and Bobby have been seeing a lot of each other."
Brian angrily turns to Kate. "Why wasn't I told about ANY of this?"
"Because you were out of town on business, THAT'S why."
"What does he want?" Gary asks.
"Okay, we'll pay him," says Brian.
"I don't think that's such a good idea," Gary says. "You start giving in to blackmailers and they'll bleed you dry."
"Then what would you suggest?"
"We tell Molly the truth that I'm her father."
"Are you out of your mind?" Brian asks. "We all agreed when Kate and I got engaged that Molly would be raised as MY daughter and that she'd never know the truth."
"That was a long time ago and things have changed."
"This works out just like you hoped, huh, Gary?" Brian asks. "You always wanted Molly to know that you're her father, so along comes some punk ass kid blackmailer, and you think you just might get your wish."
"I don't like what you're implying," Gary says angrily.
"I don't much give a damn what you like."
"Alright, now just hold it!" Val says. "This arguing back and forth isn't getting us anywhere, and it isn't gonna help us keep Molly from getting hurt. Brian, Kate, I agree with Gary. I think it's time Molly is told the truth before this Brandon person tells her."
"He's not going to," Brian says. "Not if I have anything to say about it." Brian walks into the foyer and starts to leave.
"Brian where are you going?" Kate asks.
"To see Brandon Williams and make damn sure this punk doesn't hurt my little girl."
"Brian, no!" Kate says adamantly. "If you antagonize Brandon, he will go straight to Molly and tell her the truth."
"Kate's right," Val agrees.
"We have GOT to find a way to deal with Brandon without antagonizing him further. And that means paying him the money. As much as he wants to get out of town. If Molly finds out the truth.......it has to be from us. Not from some thug like Brandon Williams."
Brian looks at the others and sighs deeply. Unable to control his anger, he punches the door, realizing that what Kate says is right.
The Avery Home....
"I'll get it, honey," Daniel says, springing to his feet. He walks over and opens the door to find Trevor. "Hey, Trevor, come in."
Trevor walks into the house.
"Hey, Trevor, what's up?" Betsy asks.
"Hey, Betsy. Dr. Avery, is Dylan home?"
"Yeah, he's upstairs in his room. Go on up."
"Thanks," Trevor says, walking past Daniel and heading up the stairs, taking the steps two at a time.
Meanwhile, Dylan is sitting on the floor in front of his bed, facing his TV playing Grand Theft Auto Five on his Xbox when Trevor knocks on his door. "Come in," Dylan says.
Trevor walks into the room.
"Hey, dude, wanna play two player?" Dylan asks.
"No," Trevor says quietly, fighting back tears.
Dylan looks at his friend, then stands to his feet and walks over. "Bro, what's wrong?"
Trevor starts to cry. "It's all a lie, man. My whole family, it's a lie."
"Dude, what are you talking about?" Dylan asks.
"Wait.....Brandon and your Mom were arguing? That's........weird. Wait, dude. He came to see your Mom? Oh, crap, don't tell me that your Mom and that jerk are....."
"No. It was obvious my Mom can't stand him. He came to tell her that he knows a big secret she has. A secret she's kept for years."
"What kinda secret?" Dylan asks.
"About Molly. Brandon said that Molly and Bobby Ewing are messing around."
"Oh wow. That sucks because of Aunt Meg, but, how is that a big secret of your Mom's?"
Trevor looks at him and pauses for a moment. "That wasn't it, dude. The secret is that......Bobby and Molly.......Dylan......Bobby and Molly are brother and sister."
"What? Trev, how's that possible?" Dylan asks.
"Because my Dad isn't Molly's father. Gary Ewing is."
Dylan's mouth drops open in shock. "What did you just say? Gary Ewing......my Aunt Betsy's father..... is Molly's father?"
"Yeah."
"That can't be true."
"It has to be true, man. I heard my Mom agree to pay Brandon a hundred and ten thousand bucks for him to keep his mouth shut and leave town."
"Damn," Dylan says. "I wonder if Aunt Betsy knows."
"No," Trevor says, shaking his head. "I don't think anyone knows."
"Then how did Brandon find out?"
Brandon's apartment....
"Get up," Bobby says angrily, fists clinched. "Get up, you SON OF A BITCH!"
"You'd better have a damn good reason for storming into my apartment and punching me, Ewing," Brandon says, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth.
"It was you, wasn't it?" Bobby asks. "You had those photos taken of me and Molly and you sent them to Meg, didn't you?"
"Don't know what photos you're talking about, Ewing," Brandon says, getting up. "But you, my friend, just made one hell of a huge mistake, because this time, I AM pressing assault charges."
"Press all the charges you want, Williams. I want you out of this town and out of our lives. For good."
"Oh, don't worry. I'll be leaving soon. Just as soon as Molly's mother pays me that hundred and ten grand she promised me."
"Oh, but she would. In order to keep this dirty little secret between your two families."
"What in God's name are you talking about?"
Brandon wipes blood from his mouth and smiles. "Those pics of you and Molly are pretty....... interesting, to say the least. So tell me, Bobby, boy. Have you and Molly slept together yet? Sure would be a real tragedy if you did, considering the fact that Molly......is your sister."
"No, Bobby. It's true. Why don't you just ask your old man? He's Molly's real father."
Bobby looks at Brandon in shock, too stunned to say anything for a moment.
Brandon smiles. "What's the matter, Bobby? You look like you just swallowed something very sour. Oh, wait.......I just realized something. If your old man is Molly's real father, then that means.........that he had to have cheated on your mother.......with Kate Cunningham. Wow. Your old man must be at least twenty-five years older than Kate, or more."
Bobby looks at Brandon, his anger and rage building inside of him, but at the same time, his shock upon hearing what Brandon has said is so great that he can only stand there, shaking and sweating.
"You know, from the look on your face, I'm guessing that you and Molly have already done the deed. That means you slept with your own sister. How sick is that?" Brandon begins laughing.
Unable to control himself anymore, Bobby punches Brandon again, hard enough to send him falling backward onto the coffee table, the table breaking as a result of Brandon's fall, Brandon landing on his backside amidst the rubble of the broken table. Bobby looks down at his enemy for a moment, then, without another word, he turns and walks out, still in shock.
"Yeah, you'd better get the hell out of here, Ewing!" Brandon yells as Bobby walks out. "But you're not gonna spend this night at home, I can promise you that! I'm calling the cops and having your ass ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT!"
By now, it's quite obvious that Brandon Williams is not only a very twisted and sadistic young man, but also a very disturbed one as well...
